Michael has worked in the mental health field for over 20 years, primarily focused on addiction, trauma, and co-occurring disorders. Michael previously served as the VP of business development and Executive Director of Colorado for Shadow Mountain Recovery. Prior to joining Shadow Mountain, Mr. Dinneen served hundreds of patients at CeDAR for over a decade and was responsible for designing and implementing key parts of the clinical programming, including the 30 day Primary Program, the 60 day Extended Care Program, the 71 day Professionals Program, and the Intimacy Disorder Track.
Mr. Dinneen is an author, an international trainer and mentor for substance abuse counselors, and regularly presents at industry conferences across the U.S. Mr. Dinneen earned a B.A. in education at Boston College, and a Masters of Social Work at the University of Denver. Michael is married, a father of two (ages 11 and 10), and member of Denver Presbyterian – PCA.

Dr. Ashbaugh is a licensed and board certified Internal Medicine physician who specializes in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, sex and pornography addiction, and the partners who are affected by their destructive sexual behavior. She received her medical degree with honors and trained at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX. In search of maximal personal fulfillment and with a personal history of addiction, Dr. Ashbaugh turned her attention towards the treatment of sex and pornography addiction and the partners affected by their destructive sexual behaviors.
Dr. Ashbaugh is both a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist and a Certified Clinical Partner Specialist treating sex addicts and partners from a partner sensitive betrayal trauma model as developed by Dr. Barbara Steffens and the Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS). Dr. Ashabaugh co-founded the Begin Again Institute, which is a 14-day sex addiction treatment program. Most recently, Dr. Ashbaugh has added personal life coaching to her skill set in hopes that she can assist in the healing of as many betrayal trauma survivors as possible. With her medical license, CSAT, CCPS, and training as a partner coach, Dr. Ashbaugh provides care of the highest level to her clients suffering from sex addiction and betrayal trauma.
Michael is a therapist at Restorations Therapy Center and team leader for the Valiant Living recovery homes. He has been involved with the mental health and counseling fields since 2012, passionately helping those with various addictions and mental health concerns. Michael also provides support for the families impacted by these diseases and is passionate about working with families and couples. His previous positions in psychiatric hospitals, detox centers, residential facilities, and outpatient programs has given Michael a deep understanding of, and compassion for, those he works with.
Michael received his Master’s of Social Work degree from the University of Denver and is currently a Licensed Social Worker with the State of Colorado. He is currently pursuing a post-masters certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Denver Family Institute and is completing his training as a Certified Sexual Addictions Counselor.

Stephen Sbanotto joined Restorations Therapy Center as the doors opened to help those walking through the tough but worthwhile journey of trauma recovery and couples therapy. He follows a holistic approach to recovery and restoration from sexual addiction for his clients. Having worked through abuse from his childhood and the sudden death of his brother during graduate school, Stephen brings a genuine and passionate zeal for helping others in their healing process.
Stephen received a Masters of Science in Community Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy from John Brown University. His work experience includes private-practice and pubic mental health, focusing on adult depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and relationship issues.

Lauren Waters is a licensed counselor candidate who has a heart for working with adolescents struggling with sexuality and addiction. Lauren has worked with the adolescent population struggling with addiction, abuse, neglect, trauma, and much more since the beginning of her counseling career. Lauren has a passion for helping young people learn how to navigate the highly sexual culture they live in every single day. Sex addiction amongst adolescents is a budding field, and we are excited to have Lauren on our team.
Lauren also works with adult clients who are struggling with addiction, partners of addicts, or couples actively working on their relationship. She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Process (EMDR) and has utilized this form of treatment with adult and adolescent clients. Lauren graduated from Colorado Christian University with her masters degree in counseling, and she is the mother of two young girls, ages three and four.
